Halloween 2009 Come and Gone

Trick or Treating CostumeSarah does love Halloween.  And it’s not just the candy.  Although I don’t see how we can possibly eat all this candy for at least another year or two.  No, what Sarah loves about Halloween is the dressing up in costume and playing with her friends.

Halloween for her started on Friday at school when they did a Halloween parade.  First we met in her classroom where her whole class sang some songs for us.  Then the whole school got in a line and walked down the street in front of her school.  A few people driving by honked their horns in appreciation (we walked on the sidewalk–not down the middle of the street).  I took an hour off work just to see it.  Very adorable!

Friday night we went to a party next door with our good friends Sarah and Jerremy, and their daughter Hailey and their son Cole.  ”Little” Sarah and Hailey are just about best friends, and play together a lot.  Our neighbors from the other side also came with their two kids, Bella and Alex.  The kids also did crafts, played games, and had a lot of fun.

Then on Saturday, Sarah dressed up as Ariel from the Little Mermaid for Trick or Treating.  They went to all the houses in the neighbor hood and brought back some serious loot.  I stayed home to hand out candy.

Do stop by the gallery to see the rest of the Halloween pictures (seven total).

Very sweet kids. But at school Sarah was not Ariel…not with that huge bunny. So about how many kids came to your door. We only had TWO!

One of us needs to learn how to count. I saw 8 photos, not 7.

At school, Sarah was a unicorn (she called it a pony). And I added a picture after I created the post. Bonus! :)
